Rice Village
Located adjacent to the campus, Rice Village is a vibrant mixed-use development that offers a diverse array of dining, shopping, and entertainment to the Rice community and the surrounding neighborhoods. In addition to its permanent establishments, the shopping district hosts temporary pop-up shops for well-known brands and a farmers market that occurs twice a month.
Positioned on the west side of campus, the Gateway Project will establish a seamless link between Rice University and Rice Village, transforming underused space into a vibrant, walkable corridor. The initiative features new green spaces, mixed-use amenities, and the renovation of historic Rice Stadium. Designed with sustainability and community in mind, the Gateway will serve as a welcoming link between the university and one of Houston’s most vibrant districts.
